An over enthusiastic fan of the famous wrestling show has to be restrained after attacking one the participants.
The World Wrestling Entertainment show is famous for its colourful, exaggerated fights between stars.
But 6’5″ wrestler Randy Orton was unusually taken by surprise on Tuesday when a fan attacked him in the ring at an event in South Africa.
Video of the incident shows the fan jumping into the ring and sneaking up behind Orton before hitting him between the legs.
WWE security runs to Orton’s aid but not before the wrestler tries to kick out at the fan.
Police arrested the fan who is currently in police custody.
“Randy was violently attacked from behind” by the fan – who was not part of the show – and is now in police custody,” a representative of WWE told TMZ.
“The extent of Randy’s injuries is unclear – we’re told docs are checking him out,” they added.
